Loads of Fandom

It is very pleasing to see that fan art is growing in many ways, not only in illustrations. Just like mr. George's cubecraft Galaxia in the previous post.
Now, as I told ya, that mini pixel art thingy I did, eventually became an magnet accessory! Elaborated by Pixelate Accessories [link]. Isn't it a cutie? Thanks for your support!

Fandom

Strangely enough, these late two weeks I'm receiving a lot of fan art pictures about the comic. I;m thinking to open a new section called "Fan Art" in the blog. Thing is, that they are not always only pictures. We talk about lotsa stuff. Like this cute paper doll Mr. George made:

On top of this, I made this pixel art version of Galaxia, in order to become a pixelated accessory. You'll see. Do you like it?

Galaxia Numbah 3 Presentation

Hey, guys and girls!

This Saturday, at 8 o'clock in the evening, at LEFIK (5th Ag. Eirinis str., Monastiraki), we'll have a small (re)presentation about the Galaxia comic-book series. I'll be there, signing books, making sketches for everybody, and giving free posters, as the one seen below. This presentation will be more or less a discussion about comics in general, and I'll gladly hear your opinions about what to improve in mine, too.

Pages are flowing at a good pace, and although the Galaxia #4 is longer than the previous books, it may be finished faster than I thought, after all. :)

Oh, and something else, too.
The Greekcomics.gr' fanzine cover (made by Lena) features a lot of well-known comicbook characters! And look! Among them is our missy, too! The image itself is also a very nice test to sharpen your comic knowledge. Can you name them all?

The Emerald on the Shelves!

Secondly, the third Galaxia book is on the shelves of the local bookstores from today. So, if anyone of ya didn't get it at the greek comic convention, go ahead and get it from your friendly neighborhood comic store. Right now!!!

ComicDom Con 2012 Aftermath

First of all, I 'd like to thank you for all the support you 've showed to our booth Comicworld and to me and my new volume. Each time the audience grows by far, and this, my friends, is a very hopeful thing.

This year's ComicDom Con (the biggest, baddest comic-con in Greece) was an interesting insight. It had a lot of new things and many, many workshops and discussions about our profession. The great Milo Manara was the special guest, along side with Mike Carey, Rufus Dayglo, Zara Slattery, Douglas Paszkiewicz and Yildiray Cinar! More info here (greek):

I 've also mentioned that I was going to be a judge for the cosplay contest. Well, that thing was a BEAST! Personally, I was jawdropping all the time, and I 've got to tell you that greek cosplayers have nothing to be jealous of the cosplayers of other countries.

ComicDom Con 2012 Signing Event

Yet another year has passed and this year's ComicDom Con is just around the corner!

I'll be there as-well, signing the brand new volume of *drums*
"GALAXIA - EMERALD OF OURANOS"!

Signing hours:
Friday 30th March: 18:00-21:00
Saturday 31st March: 14:00-18:00
Sunday 1st April: 11:00-14:00 & 17:00-20:00

The comic-con takes place at the Hellenic American Union at 22nd Massalias str. and you can find me at the Comicworld booth as usual.

Another cool thing that's about to happen there, is the upcoming cosplay competition on Saturday at 19:30. Be sure to check it out! I'm going to be one of the judging committee and we 're about to see a lot of great costumes made with care. =)

#3 On its way!

"Galaxia - Emerald of Ouranos" is at our local press office, ready for printing. :)

It' ll be available on the Greek comic convention (ComicDom Con 30-31st March and April 1st) located in the Hellenic American Union. Find it in the Comicworld Booth! I'll be there for signing, too.

Some Improvement

Lately it came to me that, all this tinkering with colors the past couple of months, actually made me to understand color theory much better. I guess that I'm improving a bit...

Yesterday I did a digi-sketch and I thought I could share it with you (today). It turned really nice, I think it reflects how much I love this girl. :D

Galaxia Versus The StarSailors

Salutations, my little gang. Whilst on the making of the 3rd comicbook of the series, I thought I'd cheer you up with this small gag pic.

It's true, the Sailors could attack Galaxia... After all she's synonymous with their arch-enemy... eheheheh...
By the way, the 3rd book is going very well. I've colored around 90 pages by now, but I still have to do some tweaks and corrections. I have to remind you that I'm also on DeviantArt: www.smolb.deviantart.com. There, you can see more cool stuff you may like.
